A Place Further Than the Universe
Episodes: 13 | Seasons: 1 | Aired: Winter 2018
Mari wants to start a club or something at school and meets Shirase, a weirdo who is obsessed with Antarctica; they decide to try to go and hilarity ensues. Seriously though, its a great series, a dramedy that many people found inspiring. It's heavily recommended by two
anime youtubers I watch and was considered one of the best series the season it came out.

Bocchi the Rock
Episodes: 12 | Seasons: 1 | Aired: Fall 2022
Bocchi suffers from anxiety and can't make friends, so she spends her time playing guitar. Through various circumstances she gets invited to join a band and things take a turn. A comedy that happens to have some really good music, some amazing animation, and fun times, very similar to K-On (which I would also recommend but I felt like I had to pick one).

Cowboy Bebop
Episodes: 26 | Seasons: 1+Movie | Aired: Spring 1998
One of the anime GOATs! A real must watch for anyone interested in anime, and even more approachable because its on the best dubs out there. The series follows a group of bounty hunters on their adventures. Like one of your favs (Deathnote) CB caught the eye of netflix and they did a pretty bad live action adaptation.

Laid Back Camp

A fun SoL series about a high school camping club. Mostly recommending since you like to camp and its pretty good and funny.

My Dress Up DarlingEpisodes: 12 | Seasons: 1 | Aired: Winter 2022
Gojou makes these traditional Japanese dolls and one day meets Marin a cosplayer who can't sew, she hires him to make outfits for her and we get to watch all their fun times together. Marin was in the running for Girl of the Season, she's such a fun character and some of her cosplays are wild.

Neon Genesis EvangelionEpisodes: 26 | Seasons: 1+ movies | Aired: Fall 1995
Another GOAT, was made as a response to Gundam and traditional mech anime that depicted child soldiers as heroes; Eva dares to ask "what if being a child soldier sucked?" Honestly there are just so many great things about this series, it is truly genre defining.

Nichijou
Episodes: 26 | Seasons: 1 | Aired: Spring 2011
One of the funniest series out there, a SoL that follows a couple different groups of people as their lives move between normal and absurd. You've probably seen some clips or gifs from this show.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Episodes: 12 | Seasons: 1+ movies | Aired: Winter 2011
A turning point for magical girl anime. Madoka becomes a magical girl to save another girl from a tragic fate, Homura transfers schools and warns Madoka to stay just the way she is. Anyway,
Homura is my GOAT and she did nothing wrong. Watch the first 3 episodes and see if it hooks you, if yeah watch the rest of the episodes and the 3rd movie (you can skip the first 2 movies as they are just recaps).

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai
Episodes: 13 | Seasons: 1+ movie | Aired: Fall 2018
Heavy Monogatari vibes from this one. Sakuta keeps meeting cute girls with weird things going on, the first he meets is Mai Sakurajima who can not be observed by people around her which she test by wearing a bunny girl costume.

IF YOU DIE IN THE GAME YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE. The series that got me back in to anime, anime fans like to hate and call it basic but it is one of the most popular series out there. Although, people who hate it for its bad writing and poor handling of female characters are 100% right but also it really
BANGS sometimes. Certainly worth a watch, at least the Aincrad arc (the first 14 episodes).
